Bambu Tico is an agro industrial company founded by Retana Quirós Family. Their main activities are the plantation and commercialization of the bamboo for construction and furniture use.
Bambu Tico has specialized in the bamboo activities such as planting, and utilization of this magnificent and versatile material. We have 29 years of experience in the field, being pioneers in this activity in the country.
The manufacturing process and cultivation of our bamboo provide steady employment to the local people. Bambu Tico is the major employer in the town where it is located, contributing not only to the socio-economic development of the local community, but also to the environmental protection of the area. Since bamboo is harvested on a yearly basis it regenerates rapidly, making bamboo an excellent alternative to wood. When you purchase bamboo from us you are contributing to the preservation of the environment and our priceless rain forest.
Because Bambu Tico has its own Guadua bamboo plantations, we are able to apply strict quality control throughout the planting, harvesting, treating, and drying process. Even though we have almost a century of experience in cultivating and working with bamboo, we are constantly researching and developing new techniques to improve the quality of our bamboo.
