Characteristics

  • Guadua angustifolia bamboo is one of the most recommended materials in the construction industry today. Notable characteristics of this species are its extraordinary strength, good resistance to parallel cuts, great flexibility and earthquake resistance turns it is an excellent material for ecologically sustainable construction.
  • The high percentage of fiber present in its structure, as well as the high content of silicon in its exterior combine to create the highly desirable resistance and flexibility of this bamboo species.
  • The combination of thickness of the cane wall and the internal number of fibers, make this material perfect for beams and posts in construction till 12 meters long.
  • Guadua bamboo to thrive until it reaches 6.5 inches in diameter. The straightness is completely assured as well. Even if some bamboo plants exhibit mild curves while growing in the plantation, in the end, our canes for sell will be perfectly straight thanks to careful management and selection.
  • To enhance the wonderful natural features of bamboo, we have also developed chemical treatment injection methods. For example, the Boucherie method consists of replacing bamboo sap with borax and copper sulfate to guarantee a resistance to insects and fungi.
