All our bamboo is treated using the Boucherie method. This involves attaching hoses to the bamboo immediately after harvest and, under pressure, replacing the water in the cane with a solution of Boric Acid and copper sulfate. This treatment has proven highly effective against the insects that would attack the bamboo.
